Today I found what appears to be a bug in Adobe Premiere (Version 14.0) when dealing with certain text fonts and characters.
Specifically, there is a problem with the Adobe font family Minion Pro, when working with it in the Essential Graphics panel, leading to issues with kerning and spacing control for this font.
UPDATE: Adobe did respond to my comment 05-08-20 stating that they have "an open feature request to turn on/off ligatures for fonts that use them." (Ligatures are essentially a character consisting of two or more joined letters or a stroke that joins adjacent letters together). Until that feature is added, Adobe says we "may have to choose a font that does not use ligatures."
