Six PTK "Decades" Documentary Videos and a Telly Award Win!

Congratulations and thank you to the team at TEK Productions! We recently won a Telly Award for our work on TEK's "PTK Centennial Celebration" event. PTK, better known as Phi Theta Kappa, is an international collegiate honor society with members hailing from around the globe.
In post-production, working closely with the project's writer/producer Joan Adkison, I was responsible for the video editing and motion graphics aspects of the project, which consisted of a series of 6 "decades" documentary videos that played at the beginning of each day's events. My work on the videos also included compositing, audio editing, color correction and building many complex multi-image screens, all in Adobe After Effects.
Along with voiceover narration and artfully photographed live action shots, the content of each video guided viewers through key decades in the early formation and rich history of the Phi Theta Kappa organization. Each video also included landmark events in American history, such as Pearl Harbor, the civil rights movement, Vietnam, the first man on the moon, and 9/11.
The decades videos played for an audience of over 5,000 PTK attendees, on a huge 16 x 100 foot screen during their multi-day 2018 celebration in Kansas City, Missouri.
